See AllStar Wars seems to have a new "May the 4th" tradition, and I think it's awesome.
It seems May the 4th will become a tradition for dropping new content without warning from the Galaxy Far Far Away as a new trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld was released today. This new anthology follows everyone's favorite assassin, Asajj Ventress, and that notorious Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane on new adventures in the Galaxy's Underworld. I not only love the look of the show, but also the new Star Wars tradition and can't wait to see what comes next from it.

Star Wars: Droids
I mean... C'mon. This was the 80's when animation was pleasantly janky at best... unless it was GI Joe, Thundercats, Transformers, or He-Man. We'll sprinkle in a bit of Silver Hawks too just for good measure.
Even so, it's a nostalgic series that follows the two most well known droids in all of Star Wars as they bounce around with a new owner... again. Unfortunately Disney+ doesn't have the entire 2nd season available so one must do with what's provided.

The Acolyte
This series had its high points and low points. Fight choreography was great but could've done without the use of Wire-fu. Some of the characters were creative: Jecki, Qmir, Sol...
I think this series detracts from the uniqueness of The Chosen One by having twins born of the Force and representing a dyad of sorts. It just didn't feel right.
The Plagueius cameo was cool but didn't go anywhere. The quasi-love flirt whatever between the protagonist and antagonist was lackluster.
But, it was new Star Wars. And new Star Wars is like pizza, tacos, and sex... Even when it's bad it's better than none at all.

Ahsoka
As a fan of the titular character, I enjoyed this series. Especially after a binge rewatch which helped the story flow much better than the week-to-week model.
Dave Filoni touted this as Rebels Season 5 and the only disappointment was not seeing Zeb again. It was strange too that we learned that anyone could be a Jedi, even if they weren't overly force sensitive. A strange concept, but OK.
I was absolutely happy to see the interactions between the Master and Apprentice... IYKYK. No spoilers. I'm also equally excited to see what Filoni has in store for us in Season 2!

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
What a fun, wholesome, and nostalgic show! Season 1 made me want a Season 2 for sure. The visuals, the little connections to other legacy works. The imagination, the adventure, and the emotional undercurrents... All fun and exciting. Who doesn't like a good space pirate story? It reminded me of the first time I was exposed to A Galaxy Far, Far, Away and the narrative underscores that with the children.

Star Wars: Forces of Destiny
Many people do not understand the place and purpose of this micro-series. The idea is to highlight small, yet KEY moments in an effort to provide deeper context to some of the larger concepts within the greater Star Wars narrative. I find myself gravitating back to the short but fun little episodes just to remind myself of some of the finer details of the overall narrative. Little connections, simple ings and chance meetings all add up to those "ah ha" moments that makes us deep-divers of Star Wars enjoy the franchise more and more.

Star Wars: Visions
Canon or not (and they're not), this wonderfully curated collection of stories from some of the best studios across the planet set in a Galaxy Far, Far, Away is a must see for those who are deep fans of the franchise. Season 1 is exclusively Japanese, likely in honor of one of George Lucas' inspirational icons: the late Akira Kurosawa. With notable studios offering stories of "What if?" and "What could be," it's sure to inspire the imagination of fans of both Star Wars and the anime genre alike. Season 2 expands the reach to studios across the globe and further expands on the "what could be" mentality and purpose of the series. A must see and a refreshing take on one of the most iconic franchises.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars
First mentioned in A New Hope in 1977, this series fleshes out the time between Episode 2 and 3 of the movie side of mainstream Star Wars. Launched into the limelight via a theatrical release, it pushed the boundaries of what many believed Star Wars to be. Some thought animation wasn't real Star Wars, some embraced it whole heartedly. The initial two seasons can be a little awkward, but as the viewer moves on, they find themselves more comfortable with the characters and more engaged with their stories. This series fought a large uphill battle and even with the gap in time between Season 6 and 7, it wraps up beautifully this era of the overall Star Wars narrative. Still one of my all-time favorites.

See AllStar Wars Finally Reveals An Aspect Of The Force George Lucas Began Setting Up 42 Years Ago
I thought it meant (and fitting) that the colors also match. Green for the Night sisters and their connections to The Force... Blue for the Jedi.
Star Wars Finally Explains Asajj Ventress' Resurrection (& No, It's Not A Retcon)
It was an EXCELLENT first episode.
I want to point something else out about Ventress' "hearts desire." Listening to Vos talk to Obi-Wan as they approached the waters, Quinlan states that "she always wanted to come back here."
Couldn't that too be a desire? What if the two are connected? She could stay with her sisters and have access to the Waters maintaining her consciousness after death. She would still have to give up Quinlan though. Notice how when she steps out after making her choice, the cave immediately looks barren, deserted, and void? Could it be that the Waters are now lost to her too?
Star Wars Just Made One Princess Leia Story Feel REALLY Twisted
I like the fact that we're looking past the surface of the usual 'good vs. bad' aspects of Star Wars and really seeing how ugly the 'good' side is, or could be. Wars are nothing but loss, both in fiction and in reality. I like the fact that we're seeing the nitty gritty sacrifices that some of the characters we first came to know, way back when, had to make to bring us to the point of "yay the Death Star blew up and we saved the Rebellion!". Can't wait to see the next three episodes!
How Obi-Wan Finally Beat Maul In One Of Star Wars' Best Lightsaber Duels - Explained By Sam Witwer Himself
That scene was a big one throughout Star Wars. It essentially closed a plot hole that had lingered for quite some time.
It began as a Legends-era comic. The "old wound" statement was a genuine callback.
It did show how much Obi-Wan had grown and matured. "Look what I have risen above." It incorporated many aspects of Japanese samurai culture and cinema... True to George's style and influence.
Yes, it called back to Episode 1 and the Form 4 Stance that Qui-Gon presented before he died.. which was likely on purpose to show just how much Obi-Wan had moved on and how little Maul had moved on.
The biggest thing about the scene was to finally close out Maul's character journey in a dignified manner. To show why Obi-Wan exists in the OT movies whole Maul does not. It was and will be one of the best 3-seconds of Star Wars we will ever have.
Why was Solo: A Star Wars Story disliked?
Me personally, I thought it was a good story. It was nice to get some backstory to such a famous character in the SW community. It was even more intriguing to know how the Millennium Falcon came to be one of the most famous ships in the galaxy far far away. I enjoyed piecing together the story of why C-3PO said that the ship's computer had such a particular "dialect" in the Original Trilogy. Not to mention that we got to see the evolution of Qi'ra and her involvement with the larger canon. Sure... the story didn't have Jedi or Sith battling it out, but neither did Rogue One (that ending Vader scene excluded), but the galaxy is large and there's plenty of room for stories like this. I think we could use a few more like it.
Star Wars Introduces An Awesome New Use Of Force Lightning
What!? Seriously? Your article tries to establish that Sidious couldn't quite control his own Force Lightning, and yet you fail to acknowledge Sidious' control of it during the Battle of Exegol. C'mon dude. Your argument is ridiculous at best. Did Sidious get defeated three times by his own lightning? Yes. Is that his fault, no. I blame poor writing for such. It's reasonable to go to the same well twice, but not thrice.
