The Fall Guy was a clever action / romance movie, but it's a weird sub-genre. Imagine if John Wick was had some action, and in between was trying to find a date. Or if in Lethal Weapon, Riggs ignored Murtaugh and chased a girl around to replace his dead wife. It's just not a mass-market film that's going to bring every red-blooded american man in to the theater.
