Not sure what show you were watching. Chantel lied to her family from the beginning. Her mother is a nut. Pedro worked so she could go to school. When she started working she thought she could just do nothing around the house on her days off. I understand her job was stressful but she seemed to think Pedro was her housekeeper and didn't have to do anything. Pedro is better off without them.
