MobLand is a beautiful, violent mess of a show that requires you to turn your brain off to fully enjoy. That's complimentary--there are very few shows that are so content to let over-the-top plots, cartoonish characters, and bloody action carry the day. This gritty crime drama allows the stars at its center enjoy themselves in their roles and it shows in the final product. It's pure escapist pleasure for those who aren't looking for a high-brow, Emmy-nominated drama.

A masterpiece of music, history, horror, and exhilaration. Coogler is at the height of his powers, and Michael B. Jordan is electric in the dual roles. Already one of, if not the best, movies of the 2020s, regardless of genre.
