See AllThe Six Triple Eight Review: Tyler Perry's Clunky War Drama Completely Misses The Point Of Its Powerful Story
I couldn't Disagree with this review more. This movie is well-written, well-acted, and paced quite well. I loved the story-arc of the major characters. Tyler balances the racist and sexist obstacles the women had to overcome with entertaining us with the dialog we as black people know exists. Music, dancing, using fun, colorful, and sometimes nonsensical verbal jousting is how black people cope, motivate, and rationalize the challenges we face. Tyler captured this aspect of our culture brilliantly! Though Kerry Washington is outstanding, she is just one of the thespians that stands out in this magnificent movie!
