Hi! I agree Cressida would still benefit from Lady Danbury's prize in the book, but I also believe her situation isn't as dire in Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. While her husband overstating his wealth affected her livelihood, her marriage still provided her with a place in society. Instead, Cressida ends up shunned by the only community she had known her own life in the TV show, making her situation worse despite her attempts at being kinder to Penelope (something I do not from the books, where she was needlessly vicious toward Penelope both before and after her marriage)
