Young Sheldon
10/10

Young Sheldon is One of the best spin-off series of all time that became it's own show… even though Young Sheldon started off as a prequel of sorts to its parent show, The Big Bang Theory, it quickly became evident that this was a show that could easily stand on its own. Watching Sheldon grow up was a delightful experience giving us viewers an insight to why his character on the Big Bang Theory was the way that he was. Even though it was never said, it was obvious that Sheldon was (is) an autistic savant. I would laugh every time someone would make reference to him being crazy and he would retort, "I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested." I would then say out loud to no one in particular, "you may not be crazy in the sense of the word my boy, but you are most definitely Autistic and somebody missed that big time!" Over all, this show is a delightful adventure of a very smart young boy on the cusp of manhood, growing up in a conservative, fictional, Bible Belt town in East Texas. His struggles with his ultra conservative, religious, Southern Baptist, over protective mother, clashing with his ultimate belief in Science as his god, makes for some wonderfully comedic and even heartfelt moments. Growing up with two siblings who are, as his mother once said, "Dumb as Soup," is a recipe for laughter. The show is heartwarming and deserves to be seen. If you have not watched Young Sheldon, you are missing out! Give it a go. I think those who do will be pleasantly surprised!
