This outlines what I've been saying fir a while. Which is the majority of the Star Wars fan base is pretty shallow and they don't want their characters to have depth or flaws. They forget that from the beginning, Luke was a flawed character. He disobeyed Obiwan and Yoda, taking the "quick and easy path as Vader did" by going to face him before he was ready to save his friends,though he ultimately prevailed.So why wouldn't this character flaw be an intrinsic part of him,bound to be repeated in the future, with Luke ultimately prevailing as he did in the end not with daring in the OT but ultimately, with wisdom. The Last Jedi was one of the best films
