"Something New": James Mangold Promises New Star Wars Jedi Origin Movie Will Be Like Nothing We've Seen Before
Yes! Something needs to be done to save the fantastic creative ideas George Lucas originated, while expanding the Star Wars Universe. There are plenty of exciting topics that don't require the Skywalkers. In fact, the Jedi and the Sith existed thousands of years before the original films. Honestly the problem here isn't Disney, the company is spending 100's of millions on doing this stuff, it's the fans! There was nothing wrong with the Acolyte, the deadheads amoung the fans likely ruined a new and exciting tie in. SO, why not go back and get into it with an entirely new exploration thats not dependent on everything Skywalker¹. ANDOR IS THE MOST POPULAR SW SERIES, AND GUESS WHAT_NO SUPER WEAPONs AND NO SKYWALKERS-JUST great story, great intrigue, more adult theme, and Great drama and acting, and its tie-ins work! Going back even further will be better if they, Disney, get there material out before books and comics can jump in and set any themes up that get too far ahead, without some guidelines. This was what happened because Lucas was so insistent on such long times between movies, and then got bored himself and didn't even know if he was going to continue at all. The vacuum sucked in too many alternative themes and was an issue for Disney, leaving them stuck between deciding on there own creative ideas and repeating someone else's chaotic mess, with some original actors, like Harison Ford, who didn't really want to continue, then the untimely death of Cary Fisher, it would have been too difficult for Disney to tackle the expanded universe.
The Acolyte Season Finale Review: I'm Already Excited For A More Promising Season 2
Overall I enjoyed this series because it was different and not just focused on the same characters and general timeline over and over again. I'm looking forward to this leading to one of the biggest reveals of the Star wars story. Namely, how Palpatine became one of the greatest dark lords of all time and the Twins story revealing how Anakin ties in to them and Plagus and Palpatine. Its time to expand Star Wars with more in depth timelines and tie-ins to real force theories explaining the background of the Jedi and the Sith as well as other force s in the Star Wars Universe. And I want to say, Star Wars fans are very lucky that Disney is running the show. They will make some mistakes and wrong turns, but they have already given us 10 times the Star Wars entertainment that Lucas would have ever done by himself. They are providing the cash and the platform that was necessary. Keep in mind, season two of Acolyte is costing them $250 million dollars alone!
