I prefer the writer's version; the adjustments are to be minimal. What is being purposed; would be a complete rewrite.

I too liked the, Theo character, but I don't believe in that era(1800s)...El would put herself or family through such a scandal. Theo was her 1st experience (of womanly feelings), not her soulmate.

She even said "who's speaking of marriage" at Anthony's 1st wedding.

I personally look forward to the journey to Phillip for Eloise.
