I don't think this is the same M'Benga we see in TOS. For him to be forced to step aside to serve under McCoy, it would be a demotion. UNLESS, the temporal shenanigans we see in "Tomorrow And Tomorrow and Tomorrow...." altered events so that this M'Benga moves on to greener pastuers once McCoy takes over as CMO.

The name "Nyota" had been kicked around for decades in non-canon material. I when the 6th movie came out, there was a magazine about the movie. There were a few pages about each character. But they had her identified as "Commander Nyota Uhura".

My personal fan theory: George KNEW Marty was "Calvin". He was able to convince Lorraine (somehow). They confronted Doc. He spilled the beans. That's why they bought that Toyota pickup & had it ready for him on that particular date. It was a thank you gift.

There's a scene in the episode after "Family" (called "Brothers"), where, at the end, Data helps two young brothers aboard reconcile. Dr. Crusher says something to effect that brothers forgive. Picard is also present, and he gets this wistful look on his face, as if he's recalling his recent reconciliation with his own brother.

That Marty McFly (with all the life experience he had growing up in an entirely different McFly household) made different decisions upon his arrival on November 5, 1955, creating a THIRD timeline.

I heard a story that, had ENT had a 5th Season, William Shatner would've come abroad as the ship's new chef with whom Captain Archer had a past. It would'v eventually been revealed this new chef was an ancestor of James Kirk.

Because plot.....

What they should've done is flashforwarded to Kirk being a commander (or even a lieutenant commander) after the cold open. He'd be the second or third in command aboard another ship. Then having the crisis with Nero attacking Vulcan come up. Along the way, they can establish Kirk as being an undisciplined maverick along the way.

I'm glad somebody finally mentioned the fact Marty was inspired about the boiler plate in III after seeing alt-85 Biff, in II, watching Clint Eastwood do it in A Fist Full Of Dollars.

With Clark losing his abilities, it would make him & Lois targets for criminals they put away. Keeping their parents safe might become a full-time job for Jonathan & Jordan.
