Honestly, I’m already dreading this movie. Ever since I learned who Christopher Nolan was, his casting choices have bothered me. It feels like he’s just stacking films with the same big names over and over, and it’s starting to get stale. Jon Bernthal’s a talented actor, sure, but I just can’t get excited about seeing yet another familiar face in a huge production. It’s like there’s a disregard for the incredible potential of new, unknown talent—actors who could bring something fresh to the table. Why not give them a chance?
I get it; big names sell tickets. But I will always, always advocate for unknowns over the same recycled stars. We’ve seen these actors in a dozen other projects already, and it’s hard to be excited when you know exactly what you’re going to get. I wish Nolan would take a risk and cast new faces—people who could truly shine and surprise us. Instead, we’re left with a "dream cast" that’s just full of predictable choices. I’m not convinced this movie is going to be anything special if that’s the case.
