I love this series. Even if there is grief it's real and the poignancy of the relationships is what makes it so vital. The respect to the traditions of the Dinè people brings the story to a level above what is typical of our current media.
Both performances are monolithic. In my opinion Scent of a Woman is Pacino's finest work. Also Training Day is possibly the best of Denzel's. It doesn't have the historical significance of Malcom X, but the finesse of emotional energy which Denzel is so capable of comes through powerfully in the former. Sometimes a choice just has to be made. Both actors are the finest most capable and talented Hollywood has to offer. And both performances are of the best of the best.
I thoroughly enjoyed this dramatic nail biter. It was kind of confusing at the end though when the tables turn and his enemies end up escorting him to the hospital. Explain please.
