When I saw this in the theatre soon after its release I feared it was a harbinger of things to come. Sadly I was correct. Although the film slows in the middle, it is an excellent portrayal of ego’s destructive force. Ralph Fiennes is superb!

Hart’s war is superb. It delves not only into the genre of war, but more so into combat leadership, character, moral courage, and personal sacrifice. Movie Muse assigns it a solid 3.7 on her 4 point scale.
