Tails had his own game where he solo'd an entire military army using his smarts, Sonic not included. I dont think finding a good story would be a problem.

As for viewership i can see how that coild possibly be a problem, but with Knuckles' show populatity blowing up so much despite being a wierd show, i think as long as it would be written well Tails having a show could be a major success. Especially since he has so many fans. Its just the fact he's always had role as exclusively a ing character in the scu that would make it a challenge, but i think it'd be worth it.

This is kind of what Archie Reboot was trying to do and why it was so good, it had good action but it prioritized each character's personal journey trying to figure themselves out during the Shattered Crisis.

The IDW stories mentioned here definitely gave me Archie Aventure era vibes (especially considering they created a very obvious replacement for Knuckles' echidna clan.

Sonce Mimic's story i predicted they'd start moving toward more Archie styled stories, and it looks like they are. And I'm glad, most Evan's stories have been unfortunately dry since Ian Flynn finished Metal Virus, but it looks like she's now taking the series in a more promising direction

JSYK, in the DC crossover comic Shadow isn't going to be Batman, he's confirmed as Batman for th merch and side products, and possibly other material. All that's been confirmed for the 5 issue comic special so far is that Sonic and his friends are teaming up with the Justice League.
