See AllWhy Demi Moore Losing The Best Actress Oscar To Mikey Madison Is So Ironic After The Substance
I had so been hoping for a tie Oscar win. Both are extraordinary in bringing their characters to life. I don't think that it was a case of selecting the youngest of two women. Let's face it, Demi is stunning and sexy and not your regular 60 year old. There's discrimination against sex workers and middle aged women in any society, let alone Hollywood. Netflix Wasted Angelina Jolie's Best Chance At An Oscar Nomination In 17 Years
Angelina Jolie is phenomenal, both as an actor and most importantly, a human being. If anything, it is her portrayal of Maria Callas which renders the movie watchable. There's a sense that something is not quite right with the movie and it falls flat with honouring such an icon. I felt that the movie minimises this legend's stature and portrays her as being a one dimensional tragic persona. Indeed, the movie didn't do justice to either woman. That said, Angelina Jolie portrayed the anguish exquisitely and hat's off to her for her opera singing as well.
