The Avatar series, to me, is by far the best.

Not that others I read like the Elminster or Drizzt books aren't great, but the Avatar books just kept me engaged all the time. I staying up all night reading Waterdeep, because I just couldn't go to sleep without finishing the trilogy and knowing how it would end.
