This list has zero credibility without the British "Ultraviolet" miniseries (no connection to the movie of the same name).

Truly great TV, where the main protagonist (as well as the audience) are constantly confused over who the true villans are - the Church-backed secret government agency, or the vampires, who constantly claim persecution...

I loved the Buffy series, but UV (an early Idris Elba series) was far above anything on the list...
