See AllI’m Upset About Nani’s Big Decision In Lilo & Stitch’s Live-Action Remake
Did you even watch the movie?? Nani doesn't give up ANYTHING. Thanks to the owl Hun she can be with Lilo and Stitch literally any time she wants as it's clearly illustrated!! It's a much more satisfying ending since Nani gets to live her dream and doesn't have to sacrifice her youth and opportunities to become little more than Lilo's primary caregiver!
For me as a huge fan of the original I was relieved that they changed this, asking with quite a few other improvements. Was it perfect? No. But then again, neither is the original! They are both fun heartwarming movies in their own right.
The 1 Scene Lilo & Stitch Left Out That Fundamentally Changes The Live-Action Remake
Totally disagree that any of these are major issues. The remake cuts out Captain Gantu because it was felt he didn't transfer as well to live action, and we already have Jumba who aptly serves the role of antagonist.
I also felt the narrative overall was more satisfying with Nani getting to live out her dream.
For me it's better than the original in a number of ways although I still love both.
8 Most Problematic Relationships in the Marvel Universe That We Can’t Believe Were Canon

After Studying Wolverine's Claws, I'm Convinced Marvel Doesn't Know How They Actually Work
As with everything in the marvel universe, explanations can be found in the Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe. This explains the mechanism by which Logan's claws retract and extend. Whether it's scientifically possible is irrelevant of course given that such biological mechanisms are far easier to imagine and explain than, e.g. sometime firing kinetic force bolts from their eyes, or having complete mastery of a natural force like magnetism! 😂
