See AllVal Kilmer's Best Scene As Tombstone's Doc Holliday Is One Of The Greatest 1-On-1 Shootouts In Westerns
I finally found someone who agrees with me that the Kevin Costner version was the better film. Directed by Lawrence Kasdan, who is a great director. This version is an epic and delves much more into Wyatt’s character and Doc’s. And always said Dennis Quaid should hv gotten an Oscar for that performance. He lost 50lbs. He looked sick. Val had make up on. He was wa good but no comparison As far as a western? Its right up there with TOMBSTONE
ppl don’t hv the patience to sit thru 3 hours. A shame bc I hv watched the film numerous times. It’s great.
Val Kilmer's Best Scene As Tombstone's Doc Holliday Is One Of The Greatest 1-On-1 Shootouts In Westerns
I still think Wyatt Earp is a better film!!! It’s an epic! Ppl don’t hv the patience for a 3 hour film. I love Val Kilmer. He was good. But Dennis Quaid lost 50 lbs for his role as Doc! He was better. Sorry! Ppl just didn’t get the Kevin Costner version. Lawrence Kasden is a great director. Give that film another chance!!
Mike Flanagan's 87% RT Show From 3 Years Ago Was Already The Greatest Salem's Lot Remake We've Had In 45 Years
I highly recommend Midnight Mass! Watched last year around this time. Well done. Great plot. I loved the 1979 Salems Lot. This is just as good. This has a great soundtrack as well. Good film for Halloween.
Another good Halloween films is THE LOST BOYS.
Tombstone Started A Kurt Russell Vs. Kevin Costner Battle With 1 Very Clear Winner
I think I’ll be the only one on this thread who liked Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner. Sorry to disagree. Perhaps most of you felt it was too long. I disagree. To me it was an epic. A biopic. Tombstone was more of a western movie. It was good. But Kevin’s portrayal, to me was more authentic. And then of course we hv Dennis Quaid as Doc Holiday. He lost 60 lbs for that role. He was incredible in that film and should have received an award for that performance. He is an actor who through his career has been always underrated. Val Kilmer was good in Tombstone as Doc Holiday. But if I were to give him an award it was his portrayal of Jim Morrison. He transformed himself into that man. And Quaid transformed himself into Doc Holiday.
So for me, it’s Wyatt Earp😉
