See AllNetflix's Next Live-Action Anime Wants to Bring a New Kind of Adaptation to Life, But Will It Land?
Not only does this show look like the usual atrocious Netflix adapts anime mess they localized the living hell out of it. The whole point of anime is it's unique Japanese flavor. This looks like something put together for sci-fi channel.
Just another awful turd by people who don't understand anime and who unless they have the original author literally standing over them like one piece well almost certainly ruin it. This thing is DOA.
Horizon Zero Dawn's Live-Action Movie Is Avoiding The Mistake That Would Have Killed The PlayStation Game Adaptation
It's really not.
And the audience it had completely rejected the decision they decided to go in with alloy and her "development" with the sequel and especially the DLC.
Nobody bought the Lego game.
And some other mobile version was already canceled. The series is nowhere near as popular as Sony wishes it was or seems to think that it is. The first game was a total outlier and everything after is coasting on the success of that.
Horizon Zero Dawn's Live-Action Movie Is Avoiding The Mistake That Would Have Killed The PlayStation Game Adaptation
Sony keeps trying to make this series a thing and it's not going to happen.
The first game was great but everything after has been worse and worse.
Nobody likes the changes and "character development" of alloy during the second game or the DLC especially.
The audience that wanted to see a movie would not want to see that adapted much like the people that actually wanted to see last of Us didn't want to see all the crap they of course had to inject into that it wasn't even in the series until the DLC.
People can cope all they want but this will fail just like the Lego game completely failed and at least one other game has already basically been canceled.
The series isn't going to be what they wanted to be but they can throw money at it and see what happens I guess.
