Lifelong grown-man-DC-Fanatic; fav character in all of fiction is Barry Allen; I have a ‘Flash’ themed LIVING ROOM & for all intents & purposes an 89’ Burton/Keaton Bedroom. Been waitin for a ‘Flash’ film all my life. Waitin’ for Keaton (personal favorite) to reprise Batman since about 1993. Needles to say WB’s insulting betrayal(s) were deeply excruciating for me... I swore after enduring Justice League that I was done. Before 2017 I spent thousands annually on publications, films, shows, collectibles & figures. Took me longer than most viewers because I had a loyalty of sorts within me that WB slowly mutilated beyond repair. From the deluded feminist-driven storytelling to the ludicrous castings of Eisenberg, Will Smith, Heard & Miller. No possible way I was EVER going to see this film. Sweetened the pot for fans like me with a large budget ‘Flash’ film & Michael Keaton returning as the caped crusader?!? 15 years ago if I’d been granted 3 wishes THIS film’s concept would’ve been one of them. Casting a five & a half ft criminally insane black-haired cross dresser to play Barry Allen wouldn’t have happened though but that’s just me I suppose. I found out the cw Flash show, right around season 3 was giving me estrogen poisoning so my doctor forbid me from enduring anymore of that lest I grow breasts. Ditto for quite literally %99 of all cw content. By the time this film was to be released I had already drawn a hard line in the sand yeeeeaars prior. I will NEVER EVER endure this film. It doent exist. Not for free. Not for charity. Just NEVER. Was easy to say this pre-release but frankly the best feeling is after it’s been released and it’s playing every hour just up the street and you STILL dont go. That’s when it actually becomes, well, satisfying… In trailers, I see 1 ounce of feminist driven tripe or let there be just 1 race/gender swap and I decide then off that alone if my money gets spent or not. WB made it simple
