I boycott the TV series because of the changes-time period, Louis' career change and his life tragedies behind his wanting to die. Last December my daughter asked if I had seen it and upon discussing my reasons, she reminded me of the death of Paul. I realized I had seen the movie 30+ times but read the book only once. Visiting her I decided to watch it with her. First episode in she asked my opinion. I said '10 minutes in I was hooked.' I have watched both seasons 6 times now. I reread the first two books. So many small things are picked up in the tv show, ie: Lestat mentioning his Mastiffs and there being a Mastiff on the train; and "I have the blood of Akasha in me...". All actors are beyond phenomenal. The writing, the music - perfection.
