Army of Darkness Finally Answers the Most Annoying Question of the Evil Dead Franchise (Making the Entire Story Even Cooler in the Process)
While the IRL reason is due to not owning the rights, I'd always heard that the in-universe reason for the recap in the beginning of 2 was because Ash went crazy and that was how he ed the events of part 1.
