There was way more problems with the writing besides "toilet jokes" there was narrative problems from beginning to end. I can clearly plenty of what the eff moments in the main story.. yet I can't 1 fart joke.

Ignore 20 years of lore, ignore 20 years of foreshadowing, ignore the fact Luffy had the fight of his life and literally died so his devil fruit can awaken.. even when Luffy first started using his gears.. make his heartbeat faster so now he can move faster?? blows air into his bones to make the giant?? hell he used red hawk underwater 🤣.. his power has always been "toon force" we just didn't recognize it.

Also ofc Luffy is the "chosen one" he's the protagonist of the story.. the plot moves forward because of him.
