Star Trek 4's Long Delay Is A Direct Result Of J.J. Abrams' Biggest 2009 Reboot Change
Been a ST fan since the original series and beyond pun intended, but if Disney|Star Wars teaches us anything, you can make a new TV series starting from scratch (Mandelorian) they were brave enough to ditch lightsabers, jedi knights etc and simply by introducing a baby 'Yoda' like character they developed an all new universe to explore - Trekies are very loyal to the format even so, as these stories are all set in the future skip ahead a few light decades, man a new starship and Boldly Go where Noone has gone before seriously Parramount+ what's stopping you?
