This is the problem with reconning, you can make up whatever you want and just say any old BS and no one gets to say anything about it because they "own" it...even when their retcons are incredibly stupid and cause more problems than ever existed.

"Fixed" - No, they destroyed it. The Fett's story could have been excellent if handled correctly but instead Disney dropped the ball...as usual and ruined it by erasing a majority of the Fett's Expanded Universe history, cherry picking what they liked anyway and making up the rest which lead to baffling current "story" of The Book of Boba Fett which is nothing more than another of Disney/Lucas Film's mediocre failing ventures.

Boba was meant to be THE greatest Mandalorian in Mandalorian history, fulfilling his father's legacy and wishes to his mentor, reuniting the Mandalorians, restoring Mandalore, restoring the Mandalorian way and going out by old age upholding the honor and creed of a true Mandalorian forever cementing him in their history.... Disney currently has him as a side note character taking a backseat to a story that should have been his doing nothing but trying to be a crime lord in place of Jabba the Hutt and you say "fixed"....No, just no.

Padding. A thing all modern games suffer from to various degrees. Older games had no time for it, they had limited space and had to focus on what was important to fill it. Modern gaming is more focused on "player retention" and playing time metrics rather than who fun and engaging the game actually is, so, they pad out the playing time with numerous, frivolous things. Do you need a hundred shrines? 1000 collectables? No...no you don't, if it will keep people playing then an otherwise 20 hour game suddenly becomes a 70 hour game and that makes it "better" on paper for the companies metrics. As a player however, this strategy often makes games tedious and annoying to play to the point where once you're done...you don't want to play them again.

30 years later I'm still going back to older games simply because they were fun and you could actually FINISH them without spending 40 hours on collectables and repetitive "side quests" where as modern games collect figurative dust because I don't want to go through all of that again.

Game developers, please stop doing this. Valhalla had 720 collectables, BOTW had 1100 and other had hundreds of "busy work" side quests that mean nothing to the character or story....it's not fun and it doesn't count as "gameplay".

Several media outlets constantly bash fans or their complaints and opinions yet the fan's complaints were...as usual, entirely justified and because the studio did the unthinkable and... actually listened to the fans instead of attacking them, The Sonic movie went on to be extremely successful and get two additional sequels.

Maybe...the fans know what they're talking about about, weird I know. Who would have thought the people that invest a lot of their money and years of their life to something, would actually know and care about it. Those same media outlets constantly blame fans for the "failures" of movies when in reality, if Hollywood actually tried CARING about the properties and people who love them instead of treating them like easy cash grabs, they wouldn't be crying about their failures and would instead be rolling in their success.

The reason why the explanations from Clone Wars, Mandalorian etc don't matter to anyone is that everyone can tell it's afterthought retocning. Disney's problem is that they "erased" the EU yet continue to cherry pick and plagiarize it. That's why it doesn't work, it's like trying to put a puzzle together where all the pieces are from different sets.

There IS a path where the Emperor's return COULD make sense, but in typical fashion Disney just took the the result and ditched the story that went with it. It's like Ahsoka Tano, she didn't exist during the making of the movies but now that she knows everyone, is best friends with everyone and has been all over doing all sorts of things, Disney now has to CONSTANTLY try to think up reasons for why she doesn't appear in the movies or why NO ONE ever talks about her. People can see through that brand of poorly explained, badly planned nonsense.

Neither were a good choice because Alpha is an ARC trooper which means he's a specialist trooper doing his own thing, and CAPTAIN Rex...is a captain. Anakin shouldn't even really know him and the 501st HAS a commander...who they never use because of Rex.

Obi Wan has Commander Cody,

Mace has Commander Ponds

Plo Koon has Commander Wolffe etc etc

Then there's Anakin who...talks to and uses his CAPTAIN while COMMANDER Appo.. just sits in the background, ironically, Rex never appears in the movies while Appo does.

Rex was one of many weird additions and retcons created by the Clone Wars.

The problem with erasing characters from canon just to cherry pick some back in is that they don't work without bringing back THE REST of the canon. IE Revan and Durge aren't coming back without bringing back the old EU Mandalorians which MASSIVELY conflicts with...what ever Disney thinks they're doing with the "new" mandalorian canon. You can't have both and when you bring the characters back without their history, you break them like Thrawn, Boba Fett, Jango Fett etc.

I mean, let's look at the difference.

- EU Boba Fett died around the age of 80 and went down in history as one of the greatest mandalorian leaders in the history of mandalore, suring his father, another great mandalor and fulfilling the Legacy of Jaster Mareel, restoring the mandalorians to their former glory. He helped Jabba rise to power, went toe to toe with Darth vader, 12 YEAR OLD Boba went toe to toe with Mace Windu and tied, the man was absolute beast a true "legend"...Boba's EU story completes a fantastic story of revenge, justice, honor and redemption.

- Disney Boba Fett is a barely functioning, aging, "not a real mandalorian" who's more concerned with being a crime boss than following his father's legacy.

It's an absolute joke to ruin these characters because Disney was too cheap and in true fashion, their replacements are always inferior to what came before.

Um...No. and MMO fundamentally breaks what Zelda is which is chiefly, the story of Zelda and Link. It's not a story of the "every man rising to be the hero" and it doesn't need to be, nor does it make sense to. Zelda is a very focus story There is ONE hero, ONE Master Sword, ONE Triforce. It would be entirely dumb to have 50 people running around fighting Ganon.

There's no reason for Ciri to be a full Witcher, it literally makes zero sense for her to undergo the trials, which she should not be able to survive anyway, nor does it make sense for her to bother with signs, which is something she never have an aptitude for and struggled with, she is quite literally FAR more powerful than any Witcher, Subbing out the power to manipulate space and time for minor fire and shielding spells is a MASSIVE down grade. Additionally, IF she went through the trials, the combinations of the mutagens and her Elder blood would make her age even slower...which wouldn't for her age in the trailer and on top of that, the ENTIRE series is about the various factions vying to create Ciri's CHILD...Witchers are all sterile as a result of the process...making her a full Witcher shuts down the entire plot point for Ciri from about 5 books.... that's a colossally stupid move.

It's my opinion they're changing canon and ignoring the points above, making her a full Witcher because they're afraid to change the combat mechanics and gameplay. Ciri and Geralt were two completely different characters with completely different fighting methods and abilities...And now Ciri is just female Geralt...how boring.
