I'm a black man who grew up reading the Harry Potter novels and I disagree that this is a good sign. As a fan of the books I want a faithful adaptation of the novels rather than creating diversity for the sake of diversity. I didn't fall in love with the Harry Potter series because I was looking for inclusion. I enjoyed it for what it was. Changing the races of beloved characters is so unnecessary. I was originally looking forward to the TV series because I thought it would be a faithful adaptation. Now I'm just lukewarm on the idea if it's gonna not be faithful to the novels.
