I just wish the original show never ended, like The Simpsons. It is the most creative, smart, awesome show ever made…..and could easily still start up where it stopped. It has the fan base. Pendleton Ward is a genius and this show is everything!

Kubrick is a master of suspense and created one of the scariest movies of all time by just having us fear every moment. Danny riding his tricycle around each corner, and holding our breath to see what was around the corner. Jack Nicholson’s building and terrifying insanity as he becomes one with the evil of the hotel.

The “memorable scenes” must be the twins, the bathroom woman, the blood elevator etc. You need your movies spelled out for you….so complex movies like the Shining aren’t for you.

Have you read both books? And seen Stanley Kubrick’s version of The Shining. Even though King hates his version, the audience that doesn’t bother to read this amazing author’s stuff, knows this version well. By integrating those visuals so much, he helped weave both the young and grown story of Danny. Like the book does.

King has so much great work out there. I am sick to DEATH of people trying to redo Carrie!!!!

Please please give us a Flanagan/King tv series of The Shining, Misery, The Institute. Or Shawshank, The Green Mile, Dolores Claiborne or even Stand By Me. Fairytale would be amazing!

Stop redoing the same thing thinking I could do better. Because the pissing contests are ignoring so much of a truly great author’s work.
