I think it will be Shawna that mentors Callie. Shauna, at the end of the episode, was reaching back to the wilderness past trying to reconnect. I think she will reconnect and she will that on to Callie. This will set up the ultimate battle: mother versus daughter.

Ms Randolph is wonderful in Landman...and 1923. She will likely be within all of Sheridan's projects, or most of them. Unfortunately Landman is not the show it might have been. So far through the first four episodes I've seen there is yet to be a hint of plot. Great acting, great character development, pretty good writing. The direction is, as it is in all Sheridan projects thus far, terrible. We are subjected to Trumper propaganda and visual sentimentality (as in those constant roundup scenes with cowboys and their cattle, violin music soaring...please no). Landman has as of yet no real tension, no reason for being: Do we care about the billionaire owner? Do we understand the arc of Tommy? Tommy's son has a hint of possibility but right now it seems a sub-plot to...nothing.
