See AllSuits LA Episode 2 Review: I'm Still Hopeful The Rest Of The Season Will Pick Up After A Disappointing Dip In Quality Left Me Wanting More
So far we’ve had maybe one borderline good scene, the conversation between Erica and her underling regarding the latter’s understanding of scripts and the former’s disinterest in the very field that she practices as a lawyer. Reminded me of Mike’s interview. Other than that, it’s painfully evident that they’re trying to do different things but the direction is either too flat or just all over the place, or both, and it certainly doesn’t help that everyone but the head attorneys Ted & Stuart seem to have personable writing (for the love of acting, Mr Stephen Amell, please don’t let the director let you go growly, it only keeps taking me back to Oliver Queen 😭). Erica and Rick(?) both are doing slightly more than the material allows them, and it’s working only in small helpings. Only one that I felt was doing about right as per the writing, and sure seems to have a strong presence (and the camera too seems to like her) is Liam Neeson’s on-screen daughter from Taken.
