I never thought of them as opposites like that so it's cool to read your perspective. I really liked the back story from the books and definitely agree that they missed a perfect opportunity to include it.

Dark City was one of the first films I saw in theaters after I graduated and it still is one of my favorite movies. Everything about it just drew me in right up to the crazy ending. Equally crazy is the number of people I've met who have never even heard of it.

I my older sister and some of my cousins read those books and were always talking about them. And while they were teens they were very careful about not being specific around us younger kids.

I loved the original three but Fury Road isn't just my favorite Mad Max movie but easily in my top five movie going experiences. Furiosa I don't intend to watch because it isn't mad max and what I saw of it the CG is absolutely terrible.
