Let's just let the actual artists do their magic. No doubt you will have plenty to complain about when it's done. Mr Nolan typically doesn't disappoint. I expect that his narrative of the Odyssey will be as thought provoking and fantastic (at least for me) as the first time I read about it as a child in a classic comic book. Ulysses was the smartest Greek hero. Athena was his champion. That's all Nolan has to convey.

Athena, Penelope, Circe, Calypso and other female entities were never merely "femme fatales" In the original Homeric prose. It's too bad that you can't get past your need to apply modern expectations on epic ancient stories that have actual roots loosely based on real history.
