Being from Calgary and living with an oilman for many years I really loved Landman. Billy Bob effortlessly plays Tommy in such a natural way. John Hamm was the perfect rich-guy oilman. In our fossil- fuel hating world Monty’s monologues strike true to home. Love it or hate it we are not ready to go fossil free till someone comes up with more realistic scenario. It will take years - until then the oil business must carry on ( tell that to our ex- prime minister!)

i found a couple of the characters weak and annoying- especially Cooper and Ariana. My least favourite part of the story. The mother- daughter Barbie team are hilarious! Drop dead gorgeous but with a love of old folks! The Ryder addition is great!
