Smart Hulk is briefly interesting and amusing. However, overall I prefer the raging Hulk and the dramatic difference between Banner and Hulk, but where Hulk had a hint of Banner’s goodness — mostly out of control, but not to the point of mass murder of innocent people. I liked when the transformation was scary, his eyes would change before his body, and you knew is was going to be epic, dramatic, and powerful. I haven’t read some of the comics, and I understand if a lot of fans want Smart Hulk maybe due to something from the comics I missed. But, I liked the series with Bixby and Ferrigno. I loved the episode where he was stuck partially transformed into Hulk, where you got to see a struggling, emotional, somewhat confused half-Hulk who could still speak and think. That is as close as it should ever get to a “Smart Hulk” in my opinion.
