10 Great Battle Scenes In Otherwise Forgettable War Movies
It is criminal how Enemy at the Gates ended. The story is based on a real life incident and you'd think Hollywood would have LOVED the actual ending: The Russian takes a blind shot at the German sniper after the political officer stands up and says "THERE HE IS" and instantly gets shot. The Russian looks at the bullet hole and figures out a likely spot for the German sniper. The Russian ends up hitting him in the head (possibly through the scope). Instead they opted for a sniper inexplicably waltzing across no man's land without a care in the world, in the middle of the day, having though he'd shot the Russian. Worst scene in ANY war movie EVER.
