I gather Amazon are contractually obliged with the Tolkien Estate to make 5 seasons, given things are not going well it might be a good idea to change the showrunners moving forward. They really should have been replaced after the first lacklustre season, it was a risk putting two totally inexperienced people in charge of such an expensive show and it hasn't paid off. They are obviously out of their depth.

@Michael most of the criticisms I have heard about the show haven't been "toxic" they are just about its poor quality. I don't see anything "toxic" about Dans comment either.
