Tom Welling Revealed His Least Favorite Storyline In All 10 Seasons Of Smallville And He Couldn’t Be More Right Even If It Was Important For The Series
Smallville needed to show Clark being a hero but could no longer do the high school stuff in a small town.
Welling refused to wear the suit or do flying scenes. So what does he think they could have done?
And even the writer of this article is too quick to bash things without giving thought.
First, the writers were not going to try giving Clark a cool superhero name that would stick. It couldn't be like a rival name and especially couldn't be one Clark chose, wanted or would stick. Because once Clark became Superman it could not seem like he was trading IDs. It had to be utterly dispensible, and forgettable, which it was, so it was perfect.
It is strange that as a fan, I know this, but Tom Welling does not. Surely the writers explained this to him since he was a producer.
