Superman Extended Trailer Reveals First Look Inside The Fortress of Solitude, Krypto Jumping On An Injured Man Of Steel And Automatons Healing Superman
Hock73
Gunn cleverly knows what he's doing. He has broken bones, when they heal, it hurts.
But that's the thing. Even in the comics when Superman had a broken arm or metal piercing his body, he would heal and not show any pain.
Superman even regrew an entire hand after Luthor tried to infect him with green kryptonite nanobots, without showing any pain.
Do you know when he felt pain? When his body had absorbed too much energy from radiation, and then when exposed to sunlight his body would forcefully remove the toxic radiation.
Even in Superman and Lois, when Superman powers are drained by Ally and he needs to jump start them by being thrown into the sun. We see that Superman was in terrible pain only at first because his skin was actually burning, but as his cells returned to normal the pain was gone his healing factor was working again.
That's following the comics and not what Gunn is doing.
He could have remnants of Kryptonite in his system that is being burned out of him, even if we don't see it.
Thank you for showing you also don't know that much about the character. When Superman was infected with a green kryptonite cancer, his whole skin turned green and he was weak and in pain, but as soon as John Irons gives him the equivalent to amped sunlight, he was again fine. No pain in the recovery.
Both he and Kara have said it in the comics multiple times, that unfiltered sunlight makes their bodies less vulnerable to kryptonite, because it nullifies the radiation faster in a painless way.
So, again. James Gunn doesn't enough about the character. Not to mention the whole scene is dumb for the reasons I've already pointed out.
Add to that Gunn and the whole cast poor performance at CinemaCon, and you should be very worried.
Gunn even said he was very happy to be at ComicCon, TWICE! When it was at CinemaCon. And then he went on ramblings that had almost nothing to do with the movie.
Superman vs Super Son: DC Finally Settles Who’s Stronger, Clark Kent or Jon Kent?
Oritsegbubemi
You mean the famous Recovery Suit. And no, he was not "basically a normal human" because like I pointed out he tanked a full power heat vision from Jon and it did almost nothing.
And Jon if you well , at the end of Dark Crisis, he was fighting Anti-Life Darkseid, Doomsday, Neron and Ares. So, Jon isn't weak. He simply isn't as powerful as Superman.
Even all the hype that DC tried to sell about his energy powers, didn't matter at all because not only the Phaelosian (Kryptonian) adopted twins Osul-Ra and Othol-Ra can use energy powers and even shape that energy into weapons, but Superman himself showed he can use that energy manipulation as well.
And so, even the one thing that was supposed to make Jon different and better, was shown being better used by the adopted twins of Clark and Lois but also Superman himself.
Even now in the Secret Six comics, things that Jon could've and should've used his energy powers on, weren't used at all. Because when Superman went through those powers back in 1998, he eventually learned to use them to even fight magic and other bothersome powers.
It's like DC just doesn't know what to do with Jon. To the point that the whole Dragon Ball talk of Jon having more potential than his father just because he was human, was slowly but eventually dropped altogether.
Superman vs Super Son: DC Finally Settles Who’s Stronger, Clark Kent or Jon Kent?
Actually this was not the only thing that proves that Superman is far more powerful than his son (Jon).
In Absolute Power when Jon was already a cyborg being controlled by Brainiac Queen, when he breaks into the Fortress of Solitude. Superman that just had surgery and was still recovering from the power drain, takes a full power heat vision blast from Jon and it does nothing to him, except stun him a little bit. And Jon wasn't holding back one bit.
As for Jon growing out of his weakness to kryptonite or becoming more resistant to it. If we go by what Future Frontier showed, not only will Jon never become less vulnerable to kryptonite, not only will red sunlight actually become fatal to him seeing Solaris high dose of red solar energy starts destroying Jon's cells, but when Jon is apparently already dead his half-brother Pyrrhos is quite alive and a huge problem to the descendants of Jon and Kara.
However when a then older looking Superman shows up, not only does he takes down Pyrrhos with one single backhand slap, but Pyrrhos magic doesn't do anything to Superman. The same magic that easily took down Kara Zor-El.
That older Superman saying he had returned from fighting a huge threat in another dimension. Revealing he had been away for centuries, fighting.
Superman Extended Trailer Reveals First Look Inside The Fortress of Solitude, Krypto Jumping On An Injured Man Of Steel And Automatons Healing Superman
I'm starting to believe the rumors of the bad screen testings more and more.
So, the robot says they have no consciousness, but they give gender to a genderless machine, that acts all happy when it sees that Superman looks at it.
Funny how for something that doesn't have consciousness, it sure acted like it had one.
And then, all that Kryptonian advanced technology and what do they use to heal Superman… The equivalent to several magnifying lenses to focus the sunlight.
But the bad scenes don't stop there. Seeing what should've brought comfort to Superman, brings him pain. Which is nonsense seeing even when Superman gets heavily dosed with kryptonite, receiving extra sunlight doesn't hurt him but instead invigorates him.
Even the Fortress should have like a fusion reactor and the recovery of Superman, would've been the robots redirecting energy from the reator to Superman, giving him the equivalent to a miniature sundipping effect.
Gunn clearly doesn't know what he's doing. He's clearly focusing not even on Kingdom Come Superman, but the old Bronze Age Superman. Where things like magnifying lenses were something he used to get solar boosts.
Dragon Ball Staff Finally Breaks Silence on Daima's Tie to Jiren, Universe 11
Seeing Daima goes against DBZ and DBS then there's no chance there will ever be a mention of a connection between Gomah and Jiren. Plus, Jiren isn't even a demon.
If they followed Toriyama design then that only means that Toriyama was being is old lazy self. And if you doubt that, then look at how Gohan achieved Super Saiyan 2 together with his clothes and looks, and then compare it to how he reached Beast together with his clothes and looks. And you'll see an almost perfect copy page by page.
And then of course there's the conflict with DBZ and DBS.
In Daima you see Piccolo say he'll talk to all the Namekian nomads that are without a home ever since Frieza destroyed planet Namek. But in DBZ and DBS we see that Namekians already have a planet and they're not nomads.
And of course we have Bulma, that at the end of DBZ we see Goku notice how she was getting older. But in Daima she buys all the rejuvenation bugs and in DBS she's using the dragon balls to take years off her age.
But the biggest bombshell of them all, is the fact that Goku tells Vegeta at the end of Daima that he already knew about the Super Saiyan 4, because he had been training to sur Super Saiyan 3 after fighting Buu. He simply wasn't sure he could use it at the time, which made sense seeing when Vegeta becomes an adult again he states he could use his power better and even his SSj3 was almost enough to end 3rd Eye Gomah, if not for the Evil Eye regenerative and amplifying powers.
So Goku in Daima, itted to something he definitely doesn't have in DBS. Something shown he doesn't have in DBS. And DBS is apparently coming back in April, and that's the actual canonical timeline.
But go on and pretend Daima is canonical. Let's also pretend that poster that showed GT after Super is also accurate, despite the Super Saiyan 4 transformation in Daima being completely different from the one in GT.
Why Couldn't Yoda Beat Palpatine? It Had Nothing to Do With the Force
That's not what happened. At least not in the book of the movie.
What Yoda realized during his fight with Sidious, was that the Jedi lost the war before it even began. That they had failed to evolve to the times, mostly due to his part, and how even if he won that day the Republic was done all the same.
He saw two things:
1. That he couldn't defeat Sidious.
2. And that if he died there the Jedi Order would truly be gone.
So he chose to leave seeing there was no possible victory. The Republic he had spent most of his life defending was gone, and it wasn't coming back.
He saw what Qui-Gon Jinn had already seen decades before. Seeing Jinn was quite vocal about the mistake it was to have the Jedi Order centered on Coruscant.
Jinn believed that only a few masters should stay in the temple on Coruscant while the initiates, Padawans, and Knights would be spread out throughout the other abandoned temples.
He argued for that, because he saw that growing on Coruscant the Padawans were oblivious to the realities of the galaxy and how most worlds were not like Coruscant. Also that served to spread them out instead of gathering them all in one spot where their enemies could take them out.
Why Couldn't Yoda Beat Palpatine? It Had Nothing to Do With the Force
When people show they didn't watch The Clone Wars without saying they didn't watch The Clone Wars.
Yoda had no such fear of falling to the Dark Side, mainly because of the trails he went through with the Whills.
While on the unknown planet where the Whills reside, they make Yoda face his darkness. Despite Yoda saying he had conquered his darkness a long time ago, and that he no longer held any darkness in him, the Whills show him otherwise.
Yoda had to battle his Dark Side self, that at first was winning really because the more Yoda denied that part of himself the stronger it became.
But once Yoda accepted that part of himself, he took away all of its power. Re-absorbing his Dark Side self.
What Obi-Wan saw might have happened before Yoda had gone through the trials of the Whills, but not afterwards. And there are a few ways that might have happened. Seeing in Dooku: Jedi Lost, one of the possible futures Sifo-Dyas sees, is Dooku gathering most of the Jedi Order to his side, with the intent of overthrowing the Republic and the Jedi Order taking command.
Had that happened, then Yoda would've see that has his failure which would've fueld the darkness in him that he was denying, making it a lot more strong. Eventually leading Yoda to forsake the Jedi ways and go to the Dark.
But during Sidious fight, Yoda held back nothing. If anything he gave everything he had, and he only didn't win because he was unlucky. Had he been better positioned on the Senate platform, Sidious might have been the one to fall instead of Yoda.
Also after the fight Yoda itted that the war was lost before it even began, because the Jedi had failed to evolve, mostly due to his part. How they have become stagnant, overconfident, and how they put too much faith in the prophecy of the Chosen One.
Considering him feeling the death of hundreds of Jedi throughout the galaxy wasn't enough to turn him to the Dark, it wouldn't be a fight with Sidious that would do that.
I Don’t Think I Ever Truly Understood Henry Cavill’s Superman Until I Heard His Real-Life Inspiration For The Character
Bruce
I think you're not being fair at all with Henry Cavill version of Clark Kent.
His entire childhood was about not standing out, but also when he saved the other kids Jonathan Kent hesitated too much when Clark asks him if he should've just let them all die.
Not only that, Jonathan Kent himself chose death to risk Clark exposing himself. Which wouldn't have happened that much seeing Clark could've just ran towards Jonathan, and shielded him from the tornado.
With Christopher Reeve version of Jonathan Kent, it wasn't so much that he didn't want Clark to use his powers, he just didn't want him to abuse them or to risk exposing himself too much.
Also when the age was right, Clark had Jor-El guide him to the ship and then to the Fortress, to train him intensively for the next twelve years.
Not to mention that nowadays that Clark wouldn't have been hired by any newspaper. Journalists have to go after the news and the sources, and Christopher Reeve Clark Kent was simply too introvert. Too much of a dork. It was like anyone could step all over him.
Even Tyler Hoechlin went that route and you saw who actually made the decisions in the family (Lois). How even dealing with his kids he wasn't the father he should be.
Meanwhile Cavill version of Clark Kent is the most real. He's the Clark and Superman that you and most people would be, if you had those powers and had gone through what he did.
Cavill Superman actually expressed joy flying. The joy one would expect. But most do not express it. And as Clark he was like a journalist should be. Do you have friends that are journalists? I assure you they're mostly like that.
And honestly…David Corenswet Clark is just too outdated and his Superman feels like he has a dark cloud over his head at all times. At least that's what the trailer transmits.
Comics Superman hasn't been that way for over two decades now.
Cyborg Superman Makes an Official Return to DC, Promising Some Serious Carnage
Technically Cyborg Superman is hardly Kryptonian, seeing he's mostly made of Kryptonian technology that Henshaw learned from the ship that brought Superman to the Earth.
Sometimes he's not even Kryptonian at all. Seeing he just takes control of whatever technology is around him.
As for his mind control. It's a little of a far fetch, for he needs to place liquid metal inside people's body so he can manipulate them.
I'm Convinced The DCU's Version Of Deadpool Is Going To Get A Movie & It Could $1 Billion
This unwarranted hype is not going to age well if the Superman movie bombs at the Box Office.
How about we wait and see if the Superman movie will be nearly as good as Screen Rant likes to say it will be. And then start talking about movies making $1 billion or more.
If Superman fails and everything else also underperforms, what will you do then? Say you saw it coming? When clearly you're not even considering that hypothesis.
Superman Is Being Set Up For a New Romance and Honestly? It's About Time
Jon and Dreamer would be a lot better than Jon with Jay. Even him and Saturn Girl was a lot better.
But Dreamer physically looks too much like Lois Lane. So you can expect parallelisms to be made, where people will say that Jon and Nia are in essence Clark and Lois 2.0
They even gave Lois the powers of Zod, even if temporary. But Superman knows full well how to give permanent Kryptonian powers to Lois, as well as a variant of Kryptonian powers like what happened with Lana Lang.
If anything this phase of Lois Lane might become permanent. Not right now, but in the near future.
Without the Speed Force, DC Finally Explains How Flash’s Powers Will Work
The Speed Force is currently more close to magic, so this change isn't that much of a change.
This shows a real lack of creativity. Seeing it would've been far more interesting to see a Flash powered by Zeta Beams. The same Zeta Beams that Adam Strange uses technology to teleport.
We've already seen a Flash from Earth-2 powered by the magic and godly power of Mercury. So, a Flash linked to another more fitting power source shouldn't be difficult to make. But apparently it is.
Even Star Wars Knows the Jedi Should Avoid One of the Force's Iconic Powers
And still the Mind Trick is a far cry from what it was in Legends.
In Legends, we see Dooku show Quinlan Vos that the Mind Trick is just the tip of the iceberg. A limitation the Jedi impose on themselves, because if they push hard enough then even the strong willed can be mind manipulated.
Just think of the lives that could've been saved during the clone wars if those delusional with the Separatist propaganda were made to see reason.
Yes. Like all mind altering powers it can be used for good and for evil, but then again so too the same applies to Force telekinesis.
And it's there that we see the hypocrisy in the powers separation. Where if one uses the Force to push or pull someone, then there's nothing wrong with that. But if one uses Force telekinesis to knock someone unconscious or strangle them, then it's the Dark Side.
The simple reality is that for all their talk about balance in the Force, the Jedi knew little about it. They feared certain aspects of the Force, which by the way goes against their own code that tells them there's no emotion.
Sorry, Superman: There's Another Hero Who Better Embodies the Heart of the Justice League
Read Superman 01 (2018) and you'll see J'onn trying to have Superman take over the direction of humanity path, because in his opinion humanity can't survive with its human leadership.
If anything it's Superman reaction to that suggestion that made him pause. And why did he want Superman to do it? Because as he its, both normal humans and superheroes recognize in Superman the best amongst them.
Also there's been plenty of times that J'onn has spied on his teammates, and even used what he knew against them.
J'onn value lies in his telepathy that is pretty useful for strategy and coordination. But that's about it.
He led the Justice League of America to the point they couldn't stand each other. He even willingly worked with Amanda Waller, knowing what kind of psycho she is.
So, if there's someone that doesn't know who J'onn J'onzz truly is. That someone is you.
Sorry, Superman: There's Another Hero Who Better Embodies the Heart of the Justice League
You really don't know Batman at all. Batman is an expert at pep talks and manipulation.
Batman simply recognizes Martian Manhunter value as a telepath, when it comes to strategy and coordination.
However, Martian Manhunter himself has told Superman that he's the hero that most inspires other heroes but also the world.
Read Superman 01 (2018), and you'll see how Martian Manhunter wanted Superman to take a more direct approach into the global matters, because the superhero community and normal humans all trust Superman and see him as the best amongst them.
However the conversation takes a wrong turn when J'onn starts telling Superman that if humanity is to survive, then he'll have to take control of the path humanity takes moving forward. Something that Superman immediately didn't react well to the idea.
So, the one you say is the "heart" of the Justice League and not Superman, suggested that Superman took over the planet, because as J'onn sees it humanity can't survive on its own. Because humans don't know how to be better.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Could Have Changed Anakin's Fate With This One Small Act, And It Makes Revenge Of The Sith Even More Tragic
I see you missed the part where Obi-Wan tells Anakin the following:
You are strong and wise, Anakin, and I am very proud of you. I have trained you since you were a small boy. I have taught you everything I know. And you have become a far greaterJedi than I could ever hope to be. But be patient, Anakin. It will not be long before the council makes you a Jedi Master.
The simple reality is that Anakin was greedy and emotionally unstable.
How else can you explain that in one moment he's saying "What have I done!" and a few minutes later he's already saying "I agree. The Jedi next move will be against the Senate."
He said, he was doing it all for Pé but then showed how he was really doing it all for himself.
For years and years so many people trying to make up excuses for him.
Isn't he the so called Chosen One? Then he should've naturally known how to be at balance with himself. But he was an emotional trainwreck. That one moment ed the Sith were evil and in the next he's believing some story about some unknown good Sith.
Also if we take into what happened in the last season of The Clone Wars, he knew how much Ahsoka cared for him and trusted him. And still not even for one single moment he even considered what Order 66 meant for her.
Try as you might you can't excuse the decisions he made and the paths he took by throwing the blame on others.
Obi-Wan in a way even kept his secret as shown in The Clone Wars. When any other master would've confronted him and perhaps exposed him to the Jedi Council.
Anakin's fault lies only with him.
Pé told him "They trust you with their lives." When referring to the Jedi. So how come she knew that but he didn't know.
Because Pé was mature and mentally stable. While Anakin needed pandering.
I Can't Believe DC Is Finally Letting Justice League's Most Powerful Hero Achieve His Full Potential: "He Wanted To Be a God. Let Him Do It"
Jenny Sparks was just a big waste of time. And don't forget that it isn't even canonical, seeing it was a Black Label title.
Tom King made a huge mess of a story. Where Jenny plan to stop Captain Atom is about pushing his buttons enough that he destroys the multiverse, then he creates it again but because he doesn't know how to make it better, he keeps destroying it and remaking it trying to find a better formula but failing to do so.
It's just another comic that will go into oblivion. Jenny tries too hard to be a John Constantine or a Manchester Black, and fails in all fronts.
Boring. And the dialogues…They seem made on purpose to put the reader to sleep.
5 Popular Fantasy TV Shows That Aren't As Good As We
Why place Sabrina picture if you're not going to talk about the show?
And it should be talked about. Seeing I tried watching it a second time not that long ago, and couldn't even get past halfway though season one.
As for the shows mentioned, you're mostly right.
Shadowhunters deviated too much from the source material and of course McNamara, Rosende and Sherwood, all failed at their characters.
All three failed to bring their characters to life.
As for the Shannara Chronicles, it didn't help that even the main characters felt anything but that. It was like watching a show that desperately needed a prequel.
The Flash's Speed Is Starting to Cause Problems, And DC's Solution Can't Last Forever
Dark Time
The problem is that some of the things you mentioned the Flash, or at least Wally has shown some kind of resistance.
Telepathy… He simple accelerated his mind enough that telepathy couldn't affect him. Which actually makes sense if you think about it.
As for magic… Yeah it would work from afar. Seeing most magic s wouldn't even have the time to think of a spell before he took them out.
The Flashes all had a weakness that was ultrasounds, where the faster they ran the more ultrasounds would affect them. Vandal Savage easily took out an entire team of Flashes using ultrasounds.
However that only works as long as Speed Force is running below the speed of light. And Wally has no problem breaking that speed.
There was even a time when breaking the speed of light came with the danger of the Speed Force entering the Speed Force and being consumed by it, but that's also gone seeing as long as there's an emotional anchor the Flash can prevent that from happening.
The point is that even the Captain has a vulnerability to magic, Nth metal, and Eternium. Same as Superman has red sunlight, kryptonite and magic vulnerability.
But the Flash at best only has two not so easily explorable weaknesses. Being magic, and a device that drains him of the Speed Force or at least disrupts the connection.
Also giving the Flash more powerful enemies just means they'll do what they did with the Cynosure, and add more powers to the Flash.
Currently the Flash powers even include limited reality manipulation, when he uses Sidestep. And that's just too much.
The Flash even once showed that if he charges his brain with enough Speed Force energy he can see the future.
Hell, he's even able to channel the Still Force that's the essentially the antimatter to the Speed Force.
And considering how much they limit other characters, it's time to put the breaks on the Flash.
The Flash's Speed Is Starting to Cause Problems, And DC's Solution Can't Last Forever
Actually the Flash new powers are part of the problem seeing they make him too powerful.
Sidestep literally allows him to step out of space and time and move freely in both, meaning he can stop something from happening before it happens.
But the solution is quite simple.
Either stop limiting other characters like Superman, Captain (formerly Shazam), Captain Atom and others. Or he needs to lose his powers and go back to speed only.
The problem with the Flash began when his speed powers began to shift to things that allow him to increase his strength, gain mental powers, and even completely by things like gravity. Add to that his current powers and the problem as well as the solution is simple.
Lower his powers or stop limiting the powers of other characters.
Take Superman and Captain for example. In practicality they should be as fast as the Flash, but the Flash status as faster was kept unchecked because DC claimed that the Flash only powers were speed. When that's no longer the case for over a decade now.
If both Kryptonians and those of the Shazam family were allowed to use their speed without limitations then the Flash would gain several characters that could keep him in check.
After all Captain Atom can literally manipulate space and time at will. Meaning he should be way faster than the Flash in every aspect.
Even the non canonical comic of Jenny Sparks showed how a against a Captain Atom without limitations then the Flash speed is useless, and he can be beaten without any difficulty.
The solution is simple. The thing is if DC Comics has the courage to finally stop protecting the Flash in detriment of other characters.
And I seriously doubt DC has the courage.
