I just watched it and enjoyed her character. I also understand the controversy as her character also had trouble with it. My mother had MS and struggled severely for for the last 30 years of her life without complaining. The constant pain and discomfort along with being dependent on others is exhausting and she struggled with also. So I understand the desire to no longer wanting to have to impose on others and be relieved of their constant pain. A very well done movie.
