The risk in a long hiatus between seasons intensifies with a ensemble of young people that experience growth spurts year over year. We saw this with the Netflix "Lost in Space" and again between season's one and two of "Invasion". If an actor/actress is a head taller without a clear explanation that the timeline has changed, the story loses continuity.
