Ana, your synopsis of NCIS: Origins' characters is right on. I have been a loyal fan of NCIS since the spinoff JAG episodes. Mark Harmon will always be legendary Gibbs! Agreed that Austin Stowell does a credible job, but also agreed that he physically doesn't make the connection with Mark Harmon - too tall, no similar physical characteristics. I have to make a mental adjustment to his physical appearance in every episode; I almost need to forget that he's supposed to be Gibbs and accept him as a new character. The character I love is Mike Franks played by Kyle Schmid. He has captured the essence of Muse Watson's character and even es physically. To the show runners and writers: the title is NCIS: Origins, not Gibbs: Origins. Go with the NIS/NCIS story and focus on Mike Franks and the fans will get on board.
