As someone who has been watching The Office every night before bed for the past 12 years, I don't even the episode this article is referring to.

I would say the show really starts declining when James Spader leaves. Any episodes after his departure are just fluff, filler, contractual obligatory episodes.

The Office really is a testament to what excellent writing, casting, and acting can produce. It's just a phenomenal show and even after watching this show literally every night, I still laugh as if I'm watching it for the very first time.
