Dude the MCU owes it's greatness, not to films like spider-man and xmen, when films like Blade came out in '97.. to go even further, if films like burtons '89 batman and '90 batman returns, hadnt dropped we wouldn't have an MCU/DCU.. let's not forget Marvel was pretty much dead in the water in the late 90s.
