Well to be honest Firefly, Terra Nova and Sarah Conner were doomed just by being on FOX. FOX has a long and storied history of canceling good shows while keeping horsecrap running ad nauseum. American Idol ran forever and The Masked Asshat is still running.

I love Alita and really wanted there to be at least one sequel but it is unlikely to ever happen. As we move further away from the first film the chances of a studio backing a sequel are slimmer and slimmer. Alita wasn't a huge tent pole film like Avatar so the corporate interest is not as great and if it has to have Cameron's involvement to proceed and he is going to be doing Avatar for another five plus years then I doubt that Alita will ever get a sequel which to me is a shame because I personally think it deserves a sequel more than Avatar does.

Plus the fact that the heart makes up such a small part of the body yet just having that tiny part being human wrecked Superman. Yeah right, lazy writing. Also we are really close to human cloning and would be much closer if we hadn't been hindered by 800 years of basically zero scientific progress, thanks religious freaks. Krypton was thousands of years ahead of us technologically yet they couldn't clone Superman a new heart? Yeah sure. I liked the series overall but like most CW comic book series they f'd up the finale.

I still get a laugh out of comic book geeks. Superman Returns comes out and it was "all he did was lift things. There was no action, no big crisis". Man of Steel comes out and "it's too much, too much violence and destruction". Just stop making movies from comic books because you will never satisfy the comic book fans. Well, unless you just hand out issues of said comic book at the theater instead of running a movie.
