I'm glad I began my love of Terry Brook's Shannara series when they first came out and have continued through all the years but I have to say that I was blown away by the books that started the Word and the Void part. That trilogy alone, to me, represents his finest writing. What I think is a shame is how many people stopped reading Shannara and never went back. They are not even aware of some of his best books.
