See AllI'm Convinced The DCU’s Superman Being “Weak” Proves How Much James Gunn Understands The Character

WHY DO ALL OF THESE FILMMAKERS THINK THAT WE WANT TO SEE OUR HEROES IN A WEEKEND STATE!?!?
If you watch any superhero movies, 80% of them concentrate on the fact that the hero has lost their power, or is having issues with your powers, or there is some deep-seated mental struggle causing them to lose their powers.
That is not what we want to see.
Look, I understand that you always need the comeback you know that third act to save the day, and whether it's professional wrestling or a comic book story it is the same formula that they have been using for years. But I don't go to see a Wolverine movie to see Wolverine without his healing factor, I don't go to see a Spider-Man movie where he can't stick to walls, I don't go to see an Iron Man movie where the only suit of armor he insists on wearing is malfunctioning all the time....
You get it.
We know you want to humanize them by giving them faults(for reference on this one see the Thunderbolts trailer where bucky, at 110 years old, doesn't know not to eat pizza in a white shirt that's loaded with sauce) but enough is enough.
He is SUPERMAN, the Boy Scout, Big Blue, the Man of Steel, Last Son of Krypton, and the protector of innocents.
Please keep him that way.

I don't like this immediate downgrade, but we'll see. I'm not going to dislike what I haven't seen yet. Cheers 🥂
