First, I'm enjoying tge Acolyte! It's creative and departs from the typical path that the series adhered to in the past. I think the backlash stems from the audience not being able to "stretch" and appreciate a different perspective. Another way to say it is "my heroes will always be my heroes, no matter what new facts are introduced" ....this folks is how Christopher Columbus was made. At the end of the day, all of this is a fairy tale made up in someone's imagination. Enjoy it or walk away from it, but either way, don't allow it to define you in a way that doesn't leave you or your ego intact.
