Disregarding the fact I didn't begrudge John or Mary (they were victims too and forced into the life) is ultimately it didn't possess the magic formula: Sam and Dean . Their chemistry and presence is what made the show special .

The Winchesters seemed generic and the writing subpar. And it subtracted rather than added anything to the story .

To have a successful spinoff a different perspective is best...kind of like how Frazier took a total different focus than the successful Cheers..

A Jon Snow sequel could fix the lost legacy of GOT. Everything lost could count again.Do it...do it right with soul and significance.
