See AllAndor’s Best Scenes Somehow Make A Big Rogue One Cameo Worse
I feel like Andor gave this scene more context actually. Andor ends where there is a lot of chaos over at the ISB with leaks and information getting out about the rebels, Axis, and the Death Star. After so many years, the Death Star was finally in the testing phase, but they get intel that a pilot with classified info has defected to the rebels. My interpretation is that the Emperor was not happy about the way things were going, and had Vader summon Krennic for a chat about getting things back on track. And also to remind him that the Death Star was supposed to be kept secret from the Senate until the Emperor could do a big reveal by destroying the planets occupied by his opposition.

Alien’s Massive Franchise Retcon Risks Making Ripley’s Entire Story Pointless
I think they said that Prometheus, Covenant and AvP are non-canon. But also a Xeno on Earth does not necessarily nullify Ripley's story. I rewatched the first Alien recently and there is a scene where Ash gives the impression that the WY corporation knew or were hoping that they would stumble across the xenos. Like the Science Division had already created protocols for capturing one.
